One Day · One Artist · One Museum

In the spirit of allowing you to get to know more about our artists, their works and their paths within the art world, we will be posting a sneak peek into some of the most important institutional collections in the world.

One of Beatriz Gonzalez’s most important works, and one of her first works with explicit political content, is Decoración de Interiores. A very large curtain divided in several sections, where Gonzalez references a newspaper clipping where the former president of Colombia, Julio Cesar Turbay Ayala is seen in a social meeting, laughing and drinking along his guests. One of the sections of this curtain is part of the latin American art collection of the Tate Modern in London.
