Linda Pongutá
Linda Pongutá is a visual artist of mestizo origin and a member of the Muisca Indigenous people. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano and a Master’s degree in Plastic and Visual Arts from the National University. Her practice investigates the tensions between nature, technology, and politics, exploring materials such as medicinal plants, petroleum derivatives, and industrial metal in installations and sculptures that reflect processes of mourning, resistance, and transfiguration. She has participated in exhibitions such as the 44th National Salon of Artists, Pereira (2016); Artecámara at ARTBO, Bogotá (2015); and the Yogyakarta International Videowork Festival, Indonesia (2012). Among her recent exhibitions are A boca de incendio (susurro y delirio), Colombia (2024), and the Amazon Biennial (2025). She has also curated the project Null, winner of the Open Call at apexart, New York. Her works are included in collections such as that of Jorge Pérez (Miami) and the Banco de la República.
