
Camila Rodríguez Triana
She is a visual artist and filmmaker. She graduated from the Faculty of Integrated Arts at the University of Valle (2008) in Colombia and completed a Master's in Film and Contemporary Art at Le Fresnoy, Studio National des Arts Contemporains (2019) in France, where she received an award for her commitment and artistic development and the Best Installation Award from Des Amis du Fresnoy, Panorama 21. In her artistic career, she has received several recognitions, such as the Visual Arts Protégé scholarship in the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative program, where she worked with American artist Carrie Mae Weems (2020); the Emerging Artist Award at the Rencontres Artistiques Carré sur Seine in France (2021); the Emerging Artist Award at Artecámara, ARTBO in Colombia (2020); the National Colombo-Swiss Photography Award in Colombia (2008); and a nomination for the Emerging Artist Grant from the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation in the US (2020). As a filmmaker, she has also received various recognitions, including Best Ibero-American Film at the Lima Independent Film Festival in Peru (2018); Best Documentary at the Lisbon International Film Festival, Spring Edition, in Portugal (2017); the Renaud Victor Award in the International Competition at FIDMarseille, France (2016); and Best Short Film at the Cali Film Festival in Colombia (2013), among others. Her artistic work has been presented in various venues such as BAO Galerie, Paris, FR (2023); POUSH in Paris, FR (2023); BAM Fisher, Brooklyn, NYC, US (2022); National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, GR (2023); PS122 Gallery, The National Academy of Design in NY, US (2022); 65th Salon de Montrouge in FR (2021); PROYECTOR Festival in ES (2020); Museum of the Moving Image in the US (2017); Museo Civico Giovanni Fattori in IT (2015), among others. Her films have been selected in renowned festivals such as the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary – KVIF, EnergaCAMERIMAGE, Directors’ Debuts Competition, FIDMarseille, Doc Lisboa, Visión du Reel, among others.
