In Focus: Aparecida

In Focus is a new exhibition modality that aims to activate different galley spaces through small exhibitions focused on a stage or facet of an artist. This shows arise from dialogues and culminate in study sessions which allow to delve into the artist's practice. 

One of the main triggers for Dueñas were the lightning and the whiteness of the space. The possibilities of the exterior and the intricate architecture of the interior gave rise to the creations of some pieces with materials found in the gallery. Changing weather conditions affected pieces displayed in the exterior giving them their own life allowing them to change while no one was watching.  

In the interior, the artist seeks to bring different objects to light, inviting us to discover the hidden feelings that they evoke. The exhibition space becomes an event for the congregation of the human mind and the conversion of the soul regarding things and materials.
