Casas Riegner invites you to visit nervio Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This exhibition resumes the collaboration between artists Liliana Sánchez and Santiago Díaz Escamilla that began in February 2020 with the exhibition Ser, Dejar, Estar, the result of some shared interests and the processual nature of their practice.
Far from presenting a traditional curatorship, Sánchez and Díaz Escamilla construct nervio as a "circuit of situations" or a large work that responds to the architectural space and converses intuitively with works of an apparently incomplete character by Alex Rodríguez, Luis Roldán, Adolfo Bernal, David Peña and Luisa Ungar.
For the artists, collaboration is understood as "a presence that destabilizes another" and in which uncertainty is always implicit. In this way, this joint work brings with it a renewed spirit and freedom, translated into a game scenario in which chance marks a destiny.
